Dione Dashney
BAID • Principal • Interior Designer
Dione believes that design that functions well will inherently be timeless. In her work, she designs to bring out the client's personality and passions, while adding elements of surprise. Driven by the process and evolution of design, she loves to take a client's obscure idea and make it a reality.
Dione graduated in 2001 with a BAID of Interior Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. For over 15 years, Dione worked side by side with Bruce Johnson at Johnson & Associates Interior Design, working on hundreds of projects of all shapes and sizes. When Bruce retired in 2022, Dione branched out on her own and Dashney Interiors was born.
Ainslie Watson
BID • Interior Designer
Ainslie has had a passion for interior design since childhood, from sketching dream homes to obsessing over show homes. This early love for design inspired her to pursue a career where she now assists clients to help bring their own dream spaces to life.
Ainslie graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) from Mount Royal University. Working with her mentor, Dione, at Johnson & Associates during her summer internship is where she gained a deeper love for residential Interior Design as well as a new set of skills. Today, Ainslie creates and renders thoughtful design ideas to reality through the use of technical applications and expertise.
Alissa Mercier
Design Coordinator
Alissa comes to Dashney Interiors with a B Com from the University of Alberta, and decade of small business ownership focusing on graphic design - where she originally met Dione (in 2008!) In 2021 she took the leap to change careers into interior decorating and design; something she has always been passionate about. Alissa completed the Mount Royal Interior Decorating Certificate in 2022.
She brings with her a love of all things design, abundant creativeness and an excitement surrounding the interior design field. She loves being part of the interior design process – contributing to creating comfort and beauty in client’s spaces.
