The Home Office
September has us all headed back to routine, back to school, and back to work - which nowadays often includes working from home. To make the most of your time, your home office should be more than about function, it should inspire you and reflect your personality. Whether you’re lucky to have a whole room to devote to your space or you’re making due with what you have, be sure to make it your own.
Here are a few of our very own home office projects to inspire your workspace.
First up is this Mount Pleasant Contemporary home. This bright office space was designed with the view in mind. Built-in shelving displays sports mementos and photographs creating a personal touch along with ample storage space.
Next up is our Park View Rustic project. Here the large office space accommodates work space for two people as well as a seating area to relax. The room pulls double duty here as the pull out sofa turns the space into a makeshift guest room. To personalize the space further, a photo wall was added to display travel memories.
This light & airy, tone-on-tone palette exudes this client’s sophisticated style. The wall to wall drapery not only creates softness and a sense of luxury, it creates the illusion of a large window in a windowless basement room. Translucent room accents, i.e. the table lamp, accent chair and coffee table perpetuate the feeling of lightness in the space.
Size is no contest in this Briar Hill Traditional project. We captured the tiny space at the top of the stairs and created a refuge for this busy professional.
In the dedicated office space, dark wood paneling is contrasted with soft, feminine fabrics. Again, space was captured at the end of a corridor to create a quiet study space.
This project featured a space that is large enough for both parents and family to work. It’s a great combination of dedicated work space, ample storage, as well as a gathering space to play games.
